FEA (ABE) Members Are Invited To Join Us In Houston, Texas!

February 15-17, 2018

In light of Hurricane Irma’s forced cancellation of the FEA(ABE) conference in Savannah, leaders of the Academy of Economics and Finance (AEF), in cooperation with the FEA leadership, have arranged an expansion in breakout rooms and hotel room block with our Houston conference hotel sufficient to accommodate presenters who would have attended FEA. Any presenter who would like to present their FEA paper(s) in FEA sessions may do so by registering for the AEF conference ($125-$155 conference registration fees) and designating their papers as FEA(or ABE) papers (click here for instructions). Some of the sessions may be reserved for FEA(ABE) papers, but if they cannot be placed in FEA(ABE) sessions, we can fit them in with our regular sessions. FEA(ABE) members who would like for their papers to appear in FEA(ABE) proceedings may arrange with your own proceedings editors to do so. Any paper presented at AEF may also be included in our proceedings, if desired, as long as they are not sent to both AEF and FEA(ABE) proceedings.

FEA or ABE officers may have arranged events or board meetings in Houston. Please refer to their communications to see if you need to attend any FEA or ABE events or meetings. Your conference registration fee allows you to participate in all AEF conference events and activities, and we warmly invite you to do so.

We encourage you to attend the J. Anderson Davis Luncheon on Friday. The $20/person cost may be added to your conference charges when you register. Attendees and their guests may come to the luncheon. Please indicate the number of luncheon tickets you would like to purchase when you register.

Presenters of FEA (ABE) papers may feel free to report their presentations as FEA(ABE) conference presentations; we have no requirement in reporting your academic activity that you acknowledge the AEF venue.

Like the FEA(ABE), we are an inclusive and welcoming academy, and would like to do what we can to support your organization in recovery from Hurricane Irma.
