February 7-10, 2024

The Academy of Economics and Finance (AEF) conference continues to provide an opportunity for attendees to showcase their research, engage with fellow faculty, and learn about new trends in the world of economics and finance. Papers and abstracts exploring topics related to Economics, Finance, and Economics/Finance pedagogy will be considered for conference presentation. Whether you are already an AEF member or are searching for an academic society focused on the fields of Economics and Finance, please consider joining us this year.

February 7-10, 2024

The conference will take place at the Francis Marion in Charleston , S.C. Each session will be hosted by an appointed session moderator. If you have experience hosting sessions and you are willing to serve as a moderator, please contact the program chair (programchair@economics-finance.org).

Conference sessions are scheduled on Thursday, February 8^th, and Friday, February 9^th. The Teacher Training Program will be held on Saturday, February 10^th between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

How To Register For The Conference And Submit An Abstract

CONFERENCE FEES (All fees must be paid online using the above submission link):

Professor/Faculty registration fee: $175 (by Nov. 24th) or $200 (after Nov. 24th)
Graduate student registration fee: $100
Undergraduate student registration fee: $60
J. Anderson Davis Luncheon: $30/person
Non-presenting family or friends of registrants are welcome to attend at a discounted fee of $100. The above registration link will allow you to add guests.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received on or before January 10th, 2024, to receive a partial refund. If your abstract was accepted for presentation, $60 of your registration fee is non-refundable. Cancellations received after January 10th, 2024, are not eligible for a refund.

KEY DATES:

August 1, 2023: First day for abstract submissions.
December 1, 2023: Deadline for abstract submissions.
January 10, 2024: Last day to cancel and still receive a partial refund.
January 11, 2024: Last day to book a room at the conference rate of $195/night

Please consider submitting your research to one of our journals :

If you do not intend to submit an abstract or present a paper you can register as an Observer. Observers will not be listed in the program, but may attend the sessions. The registration fee for Observers is $60 before November 15th and rises to $75 after November 15th, 2022.

If you are a graduate student, intending to submit a paper to the Ph.D. Paper Competition, you should register as a Graduate Student. Presenting coauthors also need to register. The Graduate Student registration fee is $100.

If you are an undergraduate student, intending to compete in the Undergraduate Paper Competition, you should register as an Undergraduate Student. The Undergraduate Student fee is $60.
