The Journal of Economics and Finance Education <\/i> (JEFE) is an electronic journal of the \n\tAcademy of Economics and Finance<\/i> (AEF). Its inaugural edition was published in Winter, 2002. \n\tJEFE is a general interest publication, which targets articles in the area of economic and finance \n\teducation. JEFE invites economic and finance contributions in three main areas: research, instruction, \n\tand content. The journal encourages empirical and methodological contributions and will entertain \n\ttheoretical articles in some instances. The principal criteria for acceptance are (a) the paper's \n\toverall quality, (b) its contribution to the fields of economics or finance education, and (c) its \n\tpotential usefulness to the general interest reader. The manuscript or parts of it must not have been \n\tpreviously published or submitted elsewhere while under review by JEFE. The editors need to be notified \n\tupon submission if an article with similar content has been or will be published in another journal! \n\t<\/p>\n\t\n\t

JEFE discourages theoretical articles that are limited to axiomatics or that discuss minor variations \n\tof familiar models. Similarly, JEFE has little interest in empirical papers that do not explain the \n\tmodel's theoretical foundations or that exhausts themselves in applying a new or established technique \n\t(such as cointegration) to another data set without providing very good reasons why this research is \n\timportant.\n\t<\/p>\n\t\n\t

Articles are subject to a double-blind refereeing process after they pass an initial screening by \n\tthe editors. Authors of theoretical papers need to be willing to supply the details of their derivations \n\tto reviewers. Authors of empirical papers have to be willing to supply their data and key program input \n\tfiles if so requested by the referees.\n\t<\/p>\n\t\n\t
